Middle School applicants are expected to play a significant part in their application process. Students applying to grades 6–8 are required to answer, in their own handwriting, short essay questions found on the application, and will also be required to complete a standardized writing assessment while on campus.
As with Lower School, Middle School students will also spend a full day on campus with a Middle School student. Students entering 7th or 8th grades will change classes after most periods, just as the students in their grade level change, while entering 6th graders will spend the day in a 5th grade classroom. Students will be evaluated for both academic and social readiness to find success in Sea Crest’s Middle School.
